Annual Fund: Who's With Us?

With shared histories of Chesterfield Day School and The Fulton School at St. Albans dating back to 1962, our unique stories and communities merged in 2022. With this coming-together, The Fulton School is clearing new paths with a strong future ahead. And Annual Fund helps make that future even stronger. This November, Be With Us, Together.

WHAT IS ANNUAL FUND?
All non-profits — from symphonies and museums to hospitals and independent schools — rely on fund-raising campaigns like Annual Fund to maintain a healthy, stable organization.

WHY DO WE NEED ANNUAL FUND?
We set tuition at a cost that’s affordable for families and in the range of other St. Louis-area independent schools. But tuition doesn’t cover all of our annual operating costs – there’s a gap of more than $3,000 per family in the budget. Like all healthy non-profits, we rely on the generosity of those who believe in us to fill that gap – that’s Annual Fund!

WHEN IS ANNUAL FUND?
This year, we have designated November as Annual Fund month at The Fulton School, and our goal is 100% participation from parents, faculty and board members by month’s end. Although we use November for our campaign, we welcome all gifts to our 2022/23 Annual Fund by May 31, 2023.

WHO GIVES TO ANNUAL FUND?
Gifts come from current parents who are watching their children thrive here, from past parents who witnessed how our school transformed their sons and daughters, from alumni who were encouraged to be the best version of themselves while they were here, from faculty who strive each day to understand every student they teach, and from family and friends who are impressed and inspired by this school community.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I GIVE?
This is the #1 question with Annual Fund. Your donation no matter the amount means you believe in this education, you support this community, you trust our mission, and you want this school here for years to come. There’s no expected dollar amount. $50, $500, $1,000, $5,000. Make a donation that is personally meaningful to you. Your participation is critical in maintaining and growing our school.

EASY WAYS TO GIVE IN NOVEMBER
We have several different options for giving:

  • Make a gift online with a credit card.

  • Have us bill your school account with a one-time or monthly charge. Email Sarah Doyle to set it up.

  • Drop your donation off in person at the front office (we’d love to see you!).

  • Send it by postal mail: 1100 White Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63017.

  • Does your company have a matching program? With company matching gifts you can double or even triple your gift.

YOU CAN EARMARK YOUR GIFT
You have the option of earmarking your gift for a specific area. Just write a category from the list below in the Memo line on your check, mention it in the “Note” section if you give online, or just let Sarah Doyle know. Areas include:

About the Artwork: All-School Collaborative Art

The first project in all levels of Studio Art this school year was this colorful collaborative installation, shown on the front cover of this card. It is based on the geometric quilts of contemporary artist Tula Pink. Quilting represents a long tradition of working together toward a common goal: stitching together pieces of diverse fabrics into a single, strong, warmth-giving blanket. It seemed fitting to undertake this project at the start of this school year as we merge the fabrics of CDS and TFSSA. And it seemed equally fitting to use it for the backdrop of the Be With Us, Together Annual Fund campaign. To see the full artwork, walk the hallway from the gym to the dining room at The Fulton School.
