Admissions Process

The admission process follows the steps outlined below:

1. Parent/Family Tour: Set up a parent/family tour to explore our campus, meet our staff, and see the school in action. Fill out this online form to get the conversation started.
   
   
2. Application: Following your tour, fill out an application online.
   
   
3. Student Shadow: We think it's important that your child spend some time getting to know us. For toddlers and preschoolers, we encourage a short visit (an hour or two) in the classroom. Starting in kindergarten, we like student-visitors to experience a full school day by shadowing a Fulton School student from their grade level. Email Ashley O'Toole at [email protected] to set up a day/time that is convenient.
   
   
4. Supplemental Forms: Parents must send supplement forms, such as teacher recommendation forms and records release form to current school. A list can be found online when you fill out the application. All completed forms must be sent to The Fulton School directly from the child's current school.
   
   
5. Tuition Assistance: Interested applicants can fill out tuition assistance paperwork if needed. Tuition assistance applications will only be considered when a student has been accepted and a deposit (100% refundable) has been paid to The Fulton School.
   
   
6. Letters of Acceptance: Qualified applicants are emailed letters of acceptance.
   
   
7. Enrollment Agreement & Deposit: Parents must then complete an Enrollment Agreement and submit the required deposit before student may begin classes. 
   
   

Upper School Admissions Process
When considering a 6-12 grade student for admission, The Fulton School evaluates the applicant's school record and recommendations from the applicant's current school or other academic program. More importantly, the school looks for students who want to be at The Fulton School, who can meet the school's challenges, benefit from a demanding academic program, and be productive and contributing members of the school community.

Admissions Policy
The Fulton School admits students of any race, color, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. The Fulton School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.

Lower School: We accept children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years into the Toddler Program, and age 3 to 6 years in the Preschool/Kindergarten program (known as Children's House). Students in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade are accepted into the Lower Elementary program. Students in 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade are accepted into the Upper Elementary program. All of these age levels combined are referred to as Lower School.

Upper School: Students in 7th and 8th grade are admitted into the Middle School program, and students in 9th through 12th grade are admitted into the High School program. All of these age levels combined are referred to as Upper School.
